Lloyd Brierley is an accomplished leader with over 23 years’ experience conveying strategic vision while transforming organizations into cost-effective delivery models with a strong focus on high quality customer service.
Lloyd has a diverse educational background encompassing the fields of business, procurement – supply chain and engineering, as well as motor vehicle mechanics and fleet management. He has lead several large and complex transformation efforts in the public and private sectors in Canada and around the globe.
Lloyd has been an active member and participant with the American Public Works Association (APWA) and the National Association of Fleet Administrators (NAFA) and is actively involved in supporting further education, passing on his experience and knowledge to the up and coming leaders attending College in Toronto.
Over the years Lloyd has contributed to and written articles or papers on a wide range of topics. He has also earned or lead organizations to receive several awards for Innovation, Leadership Excellence and Business Transformation.
In his current role as Division Head/General Manager of Fleet Services with the City of Toronto (Canada’s largest City, the third largest City in North America), Lloyd has taken on the task of leading the country’s largest municipal fleet while working to transform operations to provide more cost-effective and responsive, customer focused services.

With over 20 year’s practical experience in management, retailing and marketing, Brett has enjoyed a wide variety of challenges throughout his career
With more than 17 years in the Oil Industry, Brett has consolidated his industry expertise in Fleet management and is recognised nationally as a category specialist in this area. His advice in the areas of both cost reduction and policy compliance of large fleets is well respected in the industry.
He holds a Bachelor in Business, is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Marketing, and is president of the Cannon Hill Anglican College Foundation.

Duncan is a road safety innovator who is responsible for overseeing strategy and commercial development activities. He is a regular ‘thought leadership’ contributor the National Road Safety Partnership Program (NRSPP) and, at times, consults to the Australian Road Research Board (ARRB).
Duncan has over a decade’s experience in the cognitive neuroscience software sector, with a focus on its application to road safety.
Prior to being in this sector, Duncan’s experience covered business development / client liaison activities in international commodity derivative markets; the design and implementation of risk mitigation strategies.

Heavy Vehicle Industry Australia
Paul is the National Manager for Membership and Workforce Development for Heavy Vehicle Industry Australia (HVIA); a national industry body that represents the manufacturers and suppliers of heavy vehicles and their components.
Paul has worked with HVIA for over twelve years and has led its workforce development program over that period. With an education background Paul has a thorough understanding of the vocational education and training system and the qualifications related to the heavy vehicle industry.
Paul sits on the national Industry Reference Committee (IRC) for heavy vehicle. IRCs develop and review training packages to ensure the national training system provides the qualifications, knowledge and skill sets that industry needs.

Peter is recognised as an industry leader with 17 years of fleet management experience, recently returning to local government fleet management following four years working in the not-for-profit sector where he achieved the prestigious AfMA 2017 Fleet Manager of the Year Award.
Never shy to take on new and interesting challenges, Peter’s return to a now amalgamated council has enabled him to be innovative and use his evidence based, pragmatic approach to improve business operations in a challenging environment whilst maintaining typical business as usual demands.
Peter is the newest member of the IPWEA Fleet Council and is Chair of the Newcastle (NSW) branch.

Rob is Manager IPWEA FLEET with primary responsibility for the development and delivery of training and resources to support the IPWEA FLEET Community.
Rob has over 30 years experience in Fleet Management, Asset Management and Procurement and continues to work as a consultant to the Fleet Management industry.
Rob holds qualifications in Mechanical Engineering, an MBA in Technology Management and is a qualified VET Trainer and Assessor.
Scott is a senior Mechatronic Engineer with extensive experience in the manufacturing, agricultural, waste management and construction industries. During his career, he has developed a number of industry leading technologies for pedestrian detection, worker safety and mobile asset monitoring solutions for use in the mobile industry.
His background in cutting edge vision technologies and smart control systems has enabled him to assist companies in developing intelligent area monitoring solutions aimed at creating safer workplaces for employees and members of the public. He also has a number of years experience working with J1939 and CANBUS communications, which has enabled him to assist many businesses in retrieving useful information from vehicles to maximise operational efficiency, the corner stone of any fleet based business.

Tom joined ERA in 2009 from senior roles in management and operations with global organisations. Tom has extensive experience in managing organisations in Australia, Europe and Asia spending more than 2 years as Managing Director in the UK.
With strong operational skills and extensive experience in developing and managing process, Tom has strong understanding of the needs in identifying and successfully implementing cost reduction initiatives that drive to the bottom line. With more than 20 years practical experience in leading operations management, sales and marketing, Tom has enjoyed a variety of challenges throughout his career.
Tom currently serves on a 3 privately held company boards and as a mentor for the CSIRO ON Prime lean launch program to assist researchers get clever ideas into the marketplace.

One of Ireland’s finest exports, Gerry Gannon has been a journalist, broadcaster, MC and media trainer in Australia for the last 30 years and is now one of the best known speakers and facilitators in Australia.
After a decade with ABC radio in Western Australia, Gerry left to pursue a career that would bring him closer to audiences and allow him to explore parts of the world he couldn’t do from the inside of a radio studio. He established Indonesia’s first English language radio station in Bali, served on the council, and as President, of the Royal Flying Doctor Service and on the board of the Tourism Council of WA.
Gerry is committed to community and non-profit organisations and has also been a board member of Access 31 Television, Kids Help Line and is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
A specialist conference MC, facilitator and media expert, Gerry is renowned for his wit, passion, easy-going nature and commitment to those he works with. He has worked extensively in both Australia and overseas and provides media skills training to government, not-for-profit organisations and industry entities, as well as conducting speech and presentation training courses.
